Each district receiving assistance under Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (20 U.S.C. 6301 et seq.) must allow a student to attend a safe public elementary or secondary school within the District, including a public charter school, if the student:
1. Attends a persistently dangerous public elementary or secondary school, as defined by the state's education agency; or
2. Becomes a victim of a violent criminal offense while in or on the grounds of the school the student attends.

Cada distrito recibiendo asistencia bajo Title I, Part A de acta de Educación Primaria y Secundaria (20 U.S.C.6301 et seq.) debe permitir al estudiante asistir a una escuela primaria o secundaria publica segura dentro del distrito incluyendo una escuela pública alternativa aunque el estudiante:
1.-Asista a una escuela pública elemental o secundaria, persistentemente peligrosa asi como la define la agencia de educacion estatal, o
2.-Convertirse en una victima de ofensa de violencia criminal cuando se halle en la escuela o en los terrenos de la escuela adonde asista el estudiante.

Parent Notification of Highly Qualified Teachers
Compliance with P.L. 107-110, Section 1111(h)(6)(A)
As a parent of a student at Valley View ISD, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child, and Federal law requires the school district to provide you this information in a timely manner if you request it. Specifically, you have the right to request the following information about each of your child's classroom teachers:
•Whether the teacher meets the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subjects he or she teaches.
•Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status because of special circumstances.
•The teacher's college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
•Whether paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if so, their qualifications.
