Career and Technical Education

Career and Technical programs are dedicated to preparing young people to manage the dual role of family member and wage earner. These programs enable students to gain entry-level employment in a high-skill, high-wage job and/or to continue their education. Student will have experiences with employers that will enhance their awareness of workplace skills. Instruction in all programs will pay particular attention to the development of a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility and a commitment to punctuality.

Specific goals of the CTE program include:

- Keeping the curriculum in pace with the developing technology in the workplace

- Developing competencies necessary to acquire entry level skilled jobs upon completion of the program

- Allowing students to begin specific careers and/or pursue post-secondary education.
