During this month, we come together as a community to honor every individual touched by breast cancer—survivors, fighters, and the cherished ones we've lost. It’s a time to raise awareness, spread hope, and support vital research that can make a genuine difference in lives. We encourage you to share your story or the stories of loved ones, schedule a mammogram, or gently remind others to do the same.
Wearing pink is a powerful way to show your support. We invite all VVISD students and staff to wear pink every Thursday in October as a sign of unity. Together, we can stand strong in the fight against breast cancer. Your participation matters, and it sends a message of solidarity and hope.

We are thrilled to announce a collaboration between Valley View High School and South Texas College to launch a Fire Science Academy Program through the Dual Enrollment Program!
After a year of planning and partnership development, this week marked a significant milestone as VVISD Administration, South Texas College representatives, Hidalgo Fire Chief, and Assistant Fire Chief came together to finalize the Fire Science Academy timeline, promotion strategy, and upcoming student/parent information sessions.
What This Means for Our Students:
Through this innovative initiative, VVHS students will have the opportunity to earn BOTH high school AND college credit while pursuing their passion for public safety and emergency services. The Fire Science Program focuses on fire prevention, protection, firefighting, and the diverse career opportunities within this essential field.
Career Pathways Include: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Firefighters, Fire Inspectors, Fire Investigators
And more!
We are incredibly excited to open these doors for our students and provide them with real-world skills and credentials that will serve them throughout their careers. This is just one of many ways VVISD is committed to creating meaningful pathways from classroom to career.

Opening Doors to Career Success: Valley View ISD Hosts Community Meeting for Adult Education Programs
Mr. Rabanales from South Texas College, with the support of Dr. Montemayor and our dedicated parental involvement team, hosted community members this evening at the VVISD Staff Development Center to showcase exciting career training opportunities through our partnership with South Texas College.
The community showed tremendous interest in the upcoming Adult Education Programs, which will offer industry certifications in high-demand fields:
✓ Welding
✓ HVAC
✓ Forklift Operation
✓ Certified Customs Specialist
✓ Certified Technician Supply Chain Automation
The turnout at our first informational meeting demonstrated the desire in our community for accessible pathways to career advancement and economic mobility.
