Good afternoon, We were notified by our police department that a student from another district was arrested today and is the individual responsible for the recent social media threats. The individual will be charged with a felony for making a terroristic threat. We want to remind everyone that we take all threats seriously and will continue with our VVISD safety protocols to ensure the safety of our students. We also want to remind parents to monitor their children's social media activities to prevent the sharing of sensitive information. If you see something suspicious, please report it immediately. As part of our ongoing safety measures: 1. We will not allow any backpacks on Thursday and Friday. 2. Students should bring their Chromebooks. 3. Students traveling for games or events will have their travel bags checked and held in a secure area. They will get their bags before the game or event. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a safe learning environment for all.
